Soil Moisture Meters

Soil Tester (or Soil Testing Meter) is a horticultural and agricultural analysis tool used to monitor key soil parameters. Its core operation is based on sensor technology, where probes inserted into the soil measure physical properties such as electrical resistance or conductivity, converting this data into readable parameters. Key metrics measured include soil moisture (water content), pH level, light intensity, fertility components (e.g., NPK content), and temperature. These instruments fall into two primary categories: battery-free analog models, which are typically single-function (e.g., basic moisture detection) and use a mechanical needle gauge for readouts; and battery-powered digital models, capable of monitoring multiple parameters simultaneously. Digital testers display data on an LCD screen, with advanced versions offering features like data storage or Bluetooth connectivity. Primary applications include home gardening/potted plant care, greenhouse cultivation, garden maintenance, and small-scale farming. They assist plant enthusiasts, professional gardeners, and agricultural workers in making data-driven decisions regarding watering schedules, fertilizer ratios, and light adjustment, effectively preventing plant issues caused by drought, pH imbalance, or nutrient deficiency.
