Splash Pads

A splash pad is a ground-level water play system, typically constructed from waterproof materials and operated by connecting to an external water source such as a garden hose. Its design features water jets distributed around the perimeter and a central shallow pool area. When water is pumped through the jets, it creates arching streams that form a misty play zone for users. Primarily used in outdoor summer settings—including residential yards, community parks, and campsites—it serves both children's play and pet cooling needs. The shallow water design (typically under 10 cm deep) minimizes drowning risk, making it a safe option for toddlers and school-aged children. Pet-specific models often feature reinforced, wear-resistant materials and are sized appropriately for dogs. Splash pads come in two main types: inflatable, which requires pre-inflation, and one-piece mat designs that can be laid out directly. Valued for their portability, quick setup, and easy storage, splash pads offer a lightweight alternative to traditional swimming pools.
