Pool Skimmer Nets

A pool skimmer net is a specialized tool designed for removing floating debris from various water surfaces. It typically consists of a high-strength nylon or polyester mesh basket attached to a lightweight aluminum or plastic frame, featuring a threaded connector for quick attachment to telescopic poles. Its primary function is the physical interception and removal of impurities—such as leaves, insects, algae, and man-made debris—from swimming pools, hot tubs, and ornamental ponds, preventing contaminants from sinking and decomposing, which can compromise water quality. There are two main types: shallow skimmer nets (mesh depth: 10-15 cm) for efficient surface skimming, and deep-leaf rakes (mesh depth: 30-50 cm) for retrieving heavier debris from the pool floor. Mesh density ranges from fine 1mm openings to coarse 5mm openings. Fine mesh captures finer particles but creates greater water resistance, while coarse mesh is ideal for larger leaves and allows for easier drainage. This tool primarily serves residential pool owners, hotel aquatic facility staff, and landscape maintenance teams. As a fundamental physical filtration device in routine water cleaning procedures, it is often used in conjunction with underwater vacuum cleaners and chemical treatments to maintain established water hygiene standards.
